Merry Hell:the traditionally difficult 2nd release from this 8 piece folk-rock band from NW England, many of whom were previously in The Tansads, with songs coming from the various Kettles - Andrew, Bob, John and Virginia, who get things steaming from the opening track - a beautiful rocking anthem to egalitarianism and rapidly proceed from there to the boil... zesty joyful muscular music played with enjoyment that will especially appeal to Oysterband fans;

Boo Hewerdine:- brand new single from highly productive and accomplished English singer-songwriter, producer, and movie soundtrack composer, previously the voice and creative force behind 1980s cult-favorite The Bible, well known for collaborations with US singer-songwriter Darden Smith, Scottish singer-songwriter Eddi Reader, and more recently with US but now Cambridge, UK resident Brooks Williams;

Chris Wood: 5th solo album from this English singer-songwriter and former choirboy, whose resume reads like a folk fan's dream wish list, and whose song-writing brilliantly dispels any Ye Olde Merrie Englande illusions in title track, nominated for a BBC R2 Folk Song Of The Year Award, followed immediately thereafter by William Blake's anthemic poem "Jerusalem" fitted out with a new and minor keyed melody which invites the listener to contemplate Blake's beautiful vision of paradise on Earth in England and the modern reality of intergenerational unemployment, political corruption, poverty, the coarsening of society and an absence of anyone capable of leading the nation back to sanity. Sound familiar? With simple double bass and keyboards and an electric guitar in attendance, other subjects covered include a brilliant look at aging in "A Whole Life Lived" and "Thou Shalt" and the power of relationships both physical and spiritual amidst trying times in "The Sweetness Game" and "I Am".
