The bulk of the material comes from the Yorkshire and Derbyshire carolling tradition, festive dance music plus four songs from this side of the pond: from Robbie Robertson (Christmas Must Be Tonight), Shelly Posen (Tis Now The Season Of The Year), The Bobs (50Kw Tree) and Tom Lehrer (A Christmas Carol) and a blast from BBC Radio's glorious past The Billy Cotton Band Show of the 60s. Comfortably straddling the blues/Americana divide he has produced 20 + albums in his 25 year career and each one bears the stamp of excellence that is his trademark.
