Johnny Flynn: 3rd release from South African born English musician and actor Johnny Flynn; he is the frontman of the folk-rock band Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit and has precious little by way of information on his website which is probably trendy but not particularly useful beyond current appearances which have not been updated since Nov 2014. Interesting voice...

Flynn Cohen: "Acoustic Guitarist Flynn Cohen has performed all over the world with many notable acts in traditional and contemporary acoustic music. He can be seen in concert with the American folk band LOW LILY (formerly known as Annalivia), and legendary Irish Accordion player John Whelan, as well as solo and duo shows playing music from his four solo albums. On this release he presents a program of all-trad American tunes and ballads deriving from the UK." ...Artist's website

The Willows: "are a folk band from Cambridge, UK. Their first release was an eponymous 4 track EP and their followup full length album Beneath Our Humble Soil was nominated for Best Debut in the Spiral Earth Awards 2014. Fronted by the breathtaking vocals of Jade Rhiannon, supported by rich vocal harmonies and dynamic acoustic musicianship the band take influence from folk traditions on both sides of the Atlantic." ...Artist's website

Beggar’s Bridge: "are a six-piece band from Hull who write tuneful and engaging song-stories in the best folk traditions, often based upon tales of people, places and events from their home county of East Yorkshire, encapsulating its rural, urban and maritime heritage. Their sound has a timeless quality to it, feeling at once traditional, yet contemporary too; there are echoes of Fairport Convention, Pentangle and Jethro Tull in their music, along with more recent influences such as The Levellers and the Seth Lakeman group. It’s not just the music which makes a Beggar’s Bridge gig memorable, though; the spaces in between are just as compelling, as the backgrounds to the song-stories are explained, usually with a good helping of earthy humour, and it all makes for an experience which is not only musically satisfying, but amusing and informative too..." ...Artists' website

Eliot Bronson: Third solo release from award-winning Baltimore, Maryland S/S Eliot Bronson. With two previously critically acclaimed solo albums preceding which he was a "member of folk favs The Brilliant Inventions. The Atlanta Music Guide says: “Eliot Bronson is the type of songwriter who could squeeze out something meaningful about taking out the trash. He writes heartfelt songs with dark humor and backs them with his resonant voice and swampy instruments.” Georgia Music Magazine notes: “He can pull at your heartstrings like nobody’s business.” Coming up, in his native town of Baltimore, Maryland The Baltimore Sun called him a “a folk singing wunderkind.”" ...Artist's website
