The Foxglove Trio - "is a group of multi-instrumentalists who perform mostly traditional songs from around the British Isles in English and Welsh. Gathering material from sessions, published song collections and contemporary artists, these talented musicians are making a name for themselves on the UK folk scene for their beautiful harmonies, creative new arrangements and engaging live performances." - Artists' website

Moonrakers - "is an Oxford-based group of four musicians, some from the classical and some from the folk tradition. Instrumentally, the group is sufficiently diverse to create different sound textures for each piece. The fact that the band "just OOZES quality" (Living Tradition) is down to the careful arrangements and selection of tunes and songs, presenting “exquisite music” (BBC). The choice of material is largely from the Irish, Scottish, Welsh and English traditions, reflecting a love of traditional tunes and contemporary songs 'in the idiom'. Jon Bennett composes several of the tunes and songs, but the arrangements are down to the special talents of the group members. He explains: "We weave a tapestry of sound around the tunes and songs both old and new, giving them an entirely fresh appraisal - and our audiences love it!" Anna Lockett’s Celtic harp is very much a centre piece of the group, complemented by Liz van Santen’s superb fiddle, and Jon’s bouzouki, guitar, whistles and bodhran. The warm vocals of Jo Daley combine with Jon’s rich baritone. Moonrakers now have three albums under their belt and have received glowing reviews in the music press (“highly infectious”- Maverick; "fine organic collection of apt musicianship" - Earbuzz). They've appeared at many festivals and arts centres in the last couple of years and are currently doing a 22-date "In-Spires" tour of churches in the Cotswolds and beyond." - Artists' website

Gren Morris and Sam Stephens - second album from well-established and regarded East Midlands duo with previous individual recordings with Sherwood Rise plus a solo album from Gren and 3 duo albums with Anne Lennox Martin from Sam.

' "Merlin's Song"...beautifully harmonised..."The Minor Lakes of Pontchartrain"...a tour de force...watch out for these lads' Roy Harris THE LIVING TRADITION

" Impeccable quality is assured, the duo's accomplishment and commitment are in no doubt." - fROOTS

Ceumar - glorious Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist whose webpage is currently broken :-(  . "Since 2009 Ceumar lives in Amsterdam, Holland. As a world citizen the singer/songwriter, guitarist easily mixes with other cultures. In Holland there was a jazzy corporation with the fantastic Mike del Ferro Trio. But there was also Balkan Meets Brazil (with drummer/ percussionist Simone Sou(l) and Oleg Fateev, the bayan player from Moldavia), along with African influenced projects. With Silencia, Ceumar lets it all calm down for a moment with the music of her own Brazil, the country she loves most of all countries. This moment of silenced explosions of expressions gives us a beautiful CD." - Musica Brasileira website (www.musicabrasileira.org/ceumar-silencia/)

Alana Henderson - "Northern Irish singer-cellist- songwriter Alana Henderson has a sound which fuses her folk music roots with elements of classical, blues and pop influences, combining lyrics of great poetic depth with a burning sense of intellectual enquiry. Her unapologetically romantic tales of lost love and broken relationships, fragile and delicate vocals, combine with emotive cello accompaniment and songs that ease along and bring surprising moments of vigour. Her stage-presence, melody and heart, combined with her disarmingly honest songwriting style, make her a truly captivating performer." - Artist's website

Pádraig Rynne - " is a name that's been at the forefront of ground breaking projects in Irish and World music over the past decade. Pádraig's musical vision has lead him to be involved in creating ground breaking projects such as Guidewires, Dán, Triad – a trio with Breton flautists Sylvain Barou and world renowned musician and producer Dónal Lunny and Atalntic I/O - a collaboration between pop music and world music. Pádraig's newest album "NOTIFY" (released Jan 2014) is his latest venture which consists of self-composed melodies. Due to success of the album, the band NOTIFY was formed. The five piece band includes some of Irelands best known and in demand artists. Pádraig Rynne - Concertinas, Davie Ryan - Drums & Percussion, Cillian King - Guitars, synths and Vocals, Eoin "Walshy" Walsh - Electric Bass and Cormac McCarthy - Pianos and Keyboards. The album was nominated by The Irish Times newspaper as one of the top 5 releases in 2014." - Artist's website

Manuel Diogo - "This is a pleasant set of African pop music from contemporary Angola, solidly produced, brightly melodic and cheerfully bouncy. Most English-speaking listeners won't be hip to the album's religious message until deep into the album, when Diogo sings of Jesus by name (in the Portuguese-language "Teu Nome E Jesus") and when he dips into the musically anomalous "Torrent D'Amour," a French-language hymn that is popular with Angolan Christians. Like many Africans, singer Manuel Benedicto Diogo has a fluid, diverse identity that encompasses several cultures and nationalities: he was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and began his musical career playing in Christian youth ensembles that toured throughout Southern Africa. This album reflects his more recent interest in exploring traditional Angolan musical forms and incorporating these styles into his ministry. Although the religious message is firmly embedded in his music, most international fans will simply hear the music as part of the modern African pop mainstream, though thankfully not too synthy or slick -- Diogo spotlights traditional instruments and hits a nice balance between electric and acoustic sounds. Nice album - definitely worth a spin!" - (DJ Joe Sixpack, Slipcue Guide To World Music) customer review on Amazon.com
